ATEC uses FORMULA 21, a patented, stabilized Sodium Chlorite solution from 21st Century Innovations, Inc. FORMULA 21 is EPA registered HVAC as a Bacteriostat, Germistat, Fungistat, and Deodorizer for Commercial, Industrial, and Residential use. Sodium Chlorite as the base ingredient is a unique compound in that it can be acidified or oxidized to create Chlorine Dioxide gas which is an excellent microbial control material. Chlorine Dioxide is one of the very few microbial control products that actually penetrates biofilm and can attack the microbes in their home environments. The Sodium Chlorite solutions are stabalized with additives so that the Sodium Chlorite is not reverted to the Chlorine Dioxide until ready for use.
